What is the Local Fork CSA Toolkit?
The Local Fork CSA Toolkit is a set of FREE online tools to help you manage your CSA. These include member management, email/newsletter, and volunteer shift management tools. The toolkit also supports a "members only" aread where you can post information for your members.
How do I sign my CSA up to use the toolkit?
To sign your CSA up to use the toolkit, follow the directions below. The basic toolkit is absolutely FREE!
- Register for Local Fork
- Verify your email and sign into Local Fork
- In your account click on the organizations link in the left navigation
- Click on New Organization in the upper right of the screen
- Fill out the form and click submit (select CSA as your organization type)
How do I edit my CSA's public profile?
Below are the steps to manage your CSA's public profile:
- Sign into Local Fork
- In you account page, click Admin Area next to your CSA in the organization list
- In the left navigation of the Admin Dashboard, click on Edit Public Profile
- On the profile editor you can manage your CSA's public profile
How do I manage my CSA members?
Once you have set up a public profile page for your CSA in the Organization Directory, you can direct all or your members to subscribe to the CSA. They can simply click on subscribe on the CSA's public profile page.
Once a member subscribes, they will have to be approved by the administrator of the CSA. To have access to the member page, the member must be both a subscriber and a member of the CSA in the Local Fork system.
How do I manage my pickups and volunteers?
I the CSA Toolkit, pickups are "Events" Follow the steps below to set up your pickups.
- Create a single Event that is your first pickup
- Create all of the shifts associated with the event
- Make sure that all the settings are correct
- Use the multi copy feature to create as many pickups as you like
- Once the pickups have been created, your members can sign up for their shifts by going to the members page and clicking on events
- There they can select sign up for their volunteer shifts
