Wild mustard does grow in New York and I harvested some seeds last fall. But it takes a lot of seeds to have enough to grind and turn into prepared mustard. The only mustard growers I've found are harvesting the greens for farmers' markets and not growing for seed. Let me know if you track down anything!
Leda

NYC Locavore Holiday Guide

I'm really excited about the recipe for cranberry sauce that Leda posted in the guide.
I'm always surprised at how different each family's traditional Christmastime meals are from each other.
My family usually makes a beef stew with red wine for Christmas Eve and goes out for Chinese on Christmas day (can you tell we're a blended family?)

General Discussion for sourcing local products in NYC

How to source local ingredients in NYC city limits?
