Welcome to the Propsect Heights CSA!

 

Founded in 2006, the Prospect Heights CSA works with Windflower Farms in Valley Farms, New York to bring fresh vegetables, fruit, and flowers to the Prospect Heights Community.  Windflower Farm is a small organic farm nestled on 38 acres in the Taconic hill country between Saratoga Springs and the Vermont border. It's an area made beautiful by the mix of small farms, open fields and wooded landscapes. The farm has been growing flowers, fruit, and vegetables for more than ten years, and distributing CSA shares in New York City for six years.

Shares are distributed Thursdays between 4:30 and 7:30 at PS 9 on Underhill Avenue between Bergen and St. Marks. Vegetable shares last at least 22 weeks from mid-June to late November and fruit and flower shares last 18 to 20 weeks. In order to make vegetable shares available to a people from a wider variety of income levels, shareholders are able to sign up at three levels based upon income:

 

In addition to fruit and vegetables, shareholders are also able to purchase egg shares from Elihu Farms and order Meat and Cheese directly from Lewis Waite Farm on a monthly schedule.
