The Montclair Community Food Co-op
The Montclair Community Food Cooperative has been running successfully for four years by volunteers who are interested in supporting local farmers and getting great organic food at a fair price. The MCFC runs a Winter Co-op from December to May, and a Summer CSA from June to Nov.
Montclair Community Food Co-op is working with Hepworth Family Farms in NYS to receive Organic vegetables and IPM Fruit and with Havenwood Farms in Newton NJ for Organic Pastured Eggs to create a CSA for the summer and fall seasons. 12 Deliveries will begin in June and run until Nov 2008. Pick up will be every other Friday after 12 noon at The Montclair Historical Society at 108 Orange Road in Montclair.
A Full Summer/Fall Shares consists of one box of fruit and one box of vegetables plus two dozen eggs. $610 for the season for 12 deliveries.
